Job Description
About the role
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Community Registered Nurses to join our Porirua-based team. As part of our multidisciplinary service, you will support patients and their whānau across Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti.
In this meaningful role, you will provide palliative care to people living with life-limiting illness, supporting them to live as comfortably and fully as possible in their own homes. Grounded in Te Ao Māori, your practice will reflect a holistic understanding of wellbeing, recognising and responding to the physical, emotional, spiritual and whānau needs of each person with aroha, respect and dignity.
As a Community Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care in the home. Your role will include:
Providing direct care and support to patients and their caregivers throughout the palliative care journey
Assessing and managing symptoms, including pain and medication support
Supporting a range of care needs, while providing respite and emotional support to whānau

Desired Skills and Experience
What we’re looking for
Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
Ideally, at least two years’ post-registration experience, with a background in palliative or community nursing (training provided for the right candidate)
NZ residency or a valid work visa
