Job Description

About the role 

As our Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clinical excellence across the organisation. Working closely with nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide hands-on clinical education through coaching, mentoring, and professional guidance.

You will be a key member of the Education Team, supporting nurses who are new to palliative care to develop confidence and competence, while also contributing to the ongoing professional development of experienced staff. The role includes involvement in a range of internal and external education initiatives, supporting learning opportunities across teams and with partner organisations and stakeholders.

This is an opportunity to influence clinical practice, shape learning, and contribute to high-quality palliative care delivery.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You will bring:

  • Advanced- level of clinical practice in palliative care, with strong assessment and critical thinking
  • Confidence in coaching, mentoring and preceptoring others
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • A background in education and training or a strong interest in developing this area
  • An Expert/Senior PDRP (willingness to archive this) and postgraduate qualification (or willingness to work towards one) 


What we are looking for

  • NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand (NZ residency or valid work visa)
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment health screening and Police vetting
