Mary Potter Hospice Retail shops are a vital part of our team, helping to raise funds for the Hospice to continue providing equitable, compassionate, patient- and whānau- centred, free-of-charge hospice care for patients, families, whānau and carers in the places they call home, and at our Inpatient Unit in Newtown. We don't just treat an illness, we work closely with people and their whānau at the most important time of their lives.

Job Description
About the role
Mary Potter Hospice is searching for a creative multi-talented Assistant Shop Manager for our Porirua Hospice Shop. This is varied role working closely with the Shop Manager to help lead and develop a diverse volunteer team and oversee all aspects of operating a high-performing retail store. The hours for this role will be 6 hours per week.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful you will need to:
Be an extremely motivated and creative individual, and truly passionate about sustainable retail
Be comfortable with using technology
Look for ways to improve and grow the business and inspire our valued volunteers
Have excellent communication skills
Be very people-focused and enjoy being part of a close-knit team environment.
Salary Range
$27,79 per hour
