Mary Potter Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for people living in Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti. Job Description
Mary Potter Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Carer for our In-patient unit in Newtown and for our community teams in Porirua and Kāpiti for 18 hours per week.

About the position:
We are looking for a Spiritual Carer to provide skilled and compassionate spiritual care to our patients, whānau, and staff. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will offer spiritual guidance and support, helping foster a strong culture of spiritual care across our services.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Provide spiritual care to patients, whānau, and staff within the inpatient unit and community.
Be part of the multidisciplinary team, offering spiritual guidance and supporting spiritual care initiatives.
Visit patients referred to the inpatient unit and in the community.
Deliver training and develop spiritual care initiatives.
Maintain and develop a network of spiritual leaders and community agencies.
To be considered, you will need to:
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent extensive spiritual care experience.
Be registered with a professional body.
Hold a Clinical Pastoral Education Certificate (desirable, depending on experience).
Be willing to undergo pre-employment health screening and a Ministry of Justice criminal records check.
Have NZ residency or a valid work visa.
Hold a current full driver’s licence.
