Mary Potter Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for people living in Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti. We provide equitable, compassionate, patient- and whānau- centred, free-of-charge hospice care for patients, families, whānau and carers in the places they call home, and at our Inpatient Unit in Newtown.

About the role:
Every day, our drivers play a vital role in supporting the hospice’s mission by collecting and delivering donated goods to and from our retail shops. Our drivers are not just transporting items—they are helping to create a sustainable future and ensure that the hospice services remain free for the people who need them most. We are looking for a driver for 25 hours per week between Monday to Sunday.
What you will do:
Collect and deliver donations and goods to and from our Mary Potter Hospice retail shops.
Communicate effectively with customers and donors, providing exceptional service in line with our hospice’s values.
Assist with heavy lifting and physical tasks required for collection and delivery.
Desired Skills and Experience
You will need:
A clean and full Driver's licence (HT not required).
A strong customer focus, with the ability to communicate effectively with people from all walks of life.
A level of fitness that enables you to undertake heavy lifting.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a self-motivated attitude and a collaborative approach.
NZ Residency or a valid Work Visa.
